My core is definitely coming in nicely.

Day 6 of My 21 Day Reset

On the weekends, I typically don’t adhere to my regimented routine in terms of its order. I tend to go with the flow.

That being said, it was probably one of my best heath days so far in the run. Since I don’t strength train with my work our crew on the weekends, I slept in till 8 am. The extra sleep felt great.

Then I did a full 15-minute cold plunge, which did wonders for my still ailing knee. This was followed by an hour walk with Lori with a Latte reward at the end.

After my one meal, I worked from 11 am till 6 pm as I am still playing catch from my trip in Italy. Lori & I then hit the gym for an evening work out and we crushed it. So we both went to bed feeling great.

Day 6 Results - The mirror says one thing, my scale says another. My primary goal is to reduce visceral fat in my lower abdomen. I will be getting a DEXA Scan after day 21 is completed (as I don’t trust tape measurements & prefer precision) but I must say, I’m very pleased with what I can visually see so far. My core is definitely coming in nicely.

The scale on the other hand was suprising, since I am in a calorie deficit each day. I gained a full pound and am back up to 205.6 lbs. As weight loss is not my goal this time around. I’m perfectly OK with this if it’s muscle that’s being added and not additional fat. 😎

The one improvement I can make is that I have been working a lot this week playing catch-up so I’ve been quite sedentary when I’m working. I need to get up more often and take breaks and get the blood flow. I will incorporate that more this week.

Key lesson: Stack small wins; the body responds to consistency.

Summary: Reset Day 6: core coming in, cold plunge discipline, and a perfect training day.
