I stayed on point all day!

Day 2 of My 21 Day Reset

I won’t review my nutrition each day since it will be the same every day. I will just tell you if I stayed on point or if I cheated. I stayed on point all day! Hit a couple hard-boiled eggs again in the evening to fight off the hunger. I should be able to phase that out in a day or two.

I introduced something new into my regimen. Went for an hour long run/walk at 6:30 am. I honestly can’t remember the last time I ran for exercise. My legs held up great but my wind was not so fantastic. I spent about 60% of the time running and the other 40% walking. As my friend & member to this group Brian Piepgrass Hale pointed out in a comment, learn about your VO₂ Max.

Based on my performance, I think that’s an area I need to start paying attention to. It stands for Volume of Oxygen Maximum. It measures the maximum amount of oxygen your body can utilize during intense exercise. I did notice that my strength training immediately after was far more challenging after that much aerobic exercise too.

I also put in eight hours of solid work on my real estate fund which should produce some good results this week.

Day 2 Results - weighed in this morning 1.2 lbs lighter at 205.6 lbs. Right knee is a little bit swollen from the running, but nothing I can’t handle because today is leg day! And there will be no excuses for not going all out on leg day! Feeling great.

Key lesson: Know your numbers; they tell you what to train.

Summary: Reset Day 2: VO2 max testing, cardio intervals, and a perfect day on plan.
