As promised, Patrick Combs called me yesterday to give me the very first human review of my script ‘The Inspired”. He started off by saying that he read it in one sitting, which felt encouraging. It is 100 pages long, so this felt like an encouraging start! And then, he said…….
I can’t possibly do his review justice, so I’ll just leave you with a cliffhanger. If he wants to give one publically within this group, he is welcome to do so, but for now, I am going to treat what he privately said as a precious gift from the most inspirational living artist that I have witnessed perform live on stage (dozens of times)! In the meantime, I will now start to think about what comes next.
What is most in my heart at the moment, is to create a very special first edition hard copy and print just 100 of them. I can then share them as inspirational gifts to individuals who have inspired me or allowed me to inspire them over my lifetime. This sounds like a blissful project!
Once this is complete, I will probably hire a lawyer to go secure some rights due to how I presented my heroes. This will allow me to begin shopping the script as a finished product.
Finally, I will seek out a Director that can bring my creation to life.
I am in no hurry! After all, it took me 25 years to complete and it is very likely that I have already derived 90% of the joy from the project simply by writing it! However, that being said, who knows where my newfound energy and enthusiasm for this project will take it!
Beth Lochtefeld completed something similar before she passed and her creation still has wings today 20+ years after her beautiful inspired life came to an end. So who knows! Time will tell because Dreams matter!
