Day 1 of My 60 Day Sugar Only Diet
Everyone, and everything, has a day one!
Upon waking, I weighed in at 233 lbs and hit the cold plunge for twenty minutes. After I did an hour workout with my beast of a trainer. Normally I walk for an hour, but I had a make up strength training session this morning. Whether it’s doing aerobic or anaerobic exercising, I always feel more energized after a good long cold plunge. I will do my daily walk later today.
After my brutal workout, I prepared my last glorious meal after intermittent fasting till 11 AM (since 6 pm the night before). Pictured below, my last normal meal for two months consisted of a grassfed steak and two eggs for protein, 1/2 an avocado for fats and a cup of organic berries for some healthy carbs. It was so Yum!
Fully satiated, I then drove to the best farmers market in Miami to load up on healthy organic fruit so I could start my diet. Pictured are the fruits of my labor! 👀 what I did there?
My Health Czar Christopher Kidawski is guiding my journey. He gave me the approved list for consumption yesterday, but while shopping, I still had questions.
Isn’t this always the case when it comes to our health? We have lots of questions! In fact, we can’t resist challenging everything we hear even when it comes from someone WAY more knowledgeable than we are! We consider ourselves experts!
Health is interesting in this way! When I’m coaching people on entrepreneurism or following their bless, I never get the kind of questions that trainers, nutritionist, and superfit people get while giving health advice!
Fortunately, I don’t have to worry about that because nature of my relationship with Chris is that he’s a dictator when it comes to my health. I just do what he tells me to do.🤣
Here is an example of one exchange today:
Me: Hey Chris. Avocado is a fruit, but it’s also a fat. I’m at the farmers market right now. Is avocado OK?
Chris: “Not really!”
Me: No avocado then. Thanks!
No follow up questions, or fighting back, or telling him I watched a video on TikToc that said otherwise. Realizing that you aren’t an expert in areas you need improvement is half the battle.
So, Day 1 was about Surrender. I need to temporarily forget everything I think I know about food, how it impacts my metabolism and trust the journey to come!
Everyone has a Day 1….
