BIG NEWS: Paris, Gastonomy & a Pinch of Madness!
Lori Lochtefeld and I did something a wee bit crazy! We applied for, and got accepted into, one of the most prestigious culinary schools in the world — École Ducasse - Paris Campus: Gastronomy & Patisserie, France! Founded by legendary chef Alain Ducasse himself.
We are moving to Paris for two months of full-time training in November & December. And no… we’re not changing careers to become chefs. Chef Edward & Chef Joseph’s jobs at Hamakua Hotel are safe!
This adventure isn’t about chasing Michelin stars, it’s about leveling up our passion for food and hospitality in a whole new way. We believe deeply that great food is a cornerstone of great experiences, especially when paired with luxury accomodations and terrific views! 👀 🌈
As a real estate syndicator and hospitality entrepreneur, I’ve always believed that a boutique hotel or luxury villa isn’t complete without unforgettable cuisine at its heart. Whether we’re designing dream hospitality events or sourcing jaw-dropping properties, I want to bring an even deeper understanding of what makes a culinary experience truly exceptional to my next property (yes, we are currently hunting!). This isn’t just a trip to France, it’s a delicious investment in our future.
Two summers ago, I asked you guys if you wanted me to document our culinary experiences on a month long culinary trip to Italy. I received a resounding yes, so I did a series through photos! I enjoyed that so much, that I am asking again.
Would you guys like me to share a behind-the-scenes peek of our culinary adventures in Paris as my next series?
It will include our culinary triumphs (and epic fails), our Parisian moments, and what it really looks like to train like a gourmet chef!
What do you say? Are you guys up for another series?
