Timeless
When you tell yourself that you have no time for something you desire - it’s a lie!

When you tell yourself that you have no time for something you desire - it’s a lie!

This is my conclusion after a lifetime of achieving my dreams, starting up dozens of businesses from scratch, chairing or serving on a dozen Boards, mentoring Dreamers for decades, and even coaching high achievers on seeking their bliss for seven years, but more recently, overcoming this lie to myself as it pertained to my health.

A year ago, I ended a three decade effective campaign of convincing myself that I had no time for my health because of the above priorities. In all honesty, I averaged less than a few minutes per day on my health for thirty straight years!

The truth behind this particular lie, that we have no time, is that we always seem to find it for other higher priorities. I have learned that the problem isn’t time, it’s our decisions on what gets priority and what doesn’t.

What do you prioritize in your life that gets the most time? What areas of your life do you neglect and wish you didn’t?

When Patrick Combs and I were coaching bliss to high achievers via our company Bliss Champions, it was always the work obsessed business owners who would declare, in frustration, “I don’t have time for my bliss!”

Patrick and I, who heard this so many times, would smile and glance at each other to decide whose turn it was to share this pearl of wisdom:

“If this is true, then you don’t yet know your bliss, because if you did, you wouldn’t have time for anything else!”

I now spend a minimum of two and a half hours a day on my health. And, I am actively looking for ways to spend even more time. This newfound commitment does not make me a worse business owner, husband, board member, dreamer, bliss seeker, or writer. It has made me better at all of those other important roles.

I challenge you to join me. Stop telling yourself the lie that you have no time for what you desire! You just haven’t made it a priority yet. If I can do this after thirty years of lying to myself, you can to!

What do you desire? Make the time and see what miracles happen!

Key lesson: When you tell yourself that you have no time for something you desire - it is a lie!

Summary: No time for your desire is a lie; conclusions after a lifetime of observation.
