Day 8 of a 60 Day Sugar Only Diet
Everything continues to go well. I was rewarded with the loss of another pound upon waking this morning l. Plus, my blood sugar scored a 90, which is nine points lower than it normally is upon waking.
My energy levels continue to be incredible, so much so that I’ve started to notice that I’m speaking very fast to people! 🤣
My health guide Christopher Kidawski predicted that I would start experiencing some detoxing from this diet soon. So far it’s just been mild headaches in the morning the last three days, but I did not have one this morning.
Having a Continuis Glucose Monior (pictured below) feeding me real time data on my blood sugar has been an amazing tool. While I find its scores to run about 14 points higher than what I register from standard pin pricks, it’s really more about the gained insight of observing the spikes and how long it takes to come back down.
I’m finding that my blood sugar level recovers in less than an hour from every intentional fruit/sugar food spike I feed it while on this restrictive diet protocol. If I were still diseased (knee deep in diabetes symptoms) like I was before my water only fast last year, my blood sugar spikes would likely last for 2 to 4 hours, which is No Bueno!
Tonight will be my first big test since I started this last Saturday. Lori and I are off to Palm Beach for a night out with some new friends. They will be picking the restaurants and bars that will be going to. Neither of us wants to undo a good week of weight loss from healthy eating and strength training, but we also have to learn to stay on point even when we’re outside our contained environment. This will be a good test.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
