Aloha Inspired Friends. This is an update on how fundraising is coming along for my property transformation in Hawaii into Hamakua Hotel. We are officially at the one-yard line!

I am pleased to report that we successfully raised all the capital we needed to get us through the first half of this year, so we could officially open as planned on July 1st. It was a mad dash for sure, but we got it done!

Of the seven renovations we initiated, the only renovation that did not get 100% completed in time for our opening was our pool. It is about halfway done now and should be completed by October.

To date we have spent $1,252,821 in renovations and have $302,408 to go. We already funded $1.35 mm of the $1.65 mm in total costs, so just a few hundred thousand to go. and we are done!

If you are interested in becoming an investor in this wonderful piece of Hawaii real estate and hotel adventure, please reach out to me this week as I focus on identifying our last few investors to invite in.

I am very excited to shift my focus from fundraising and renovating to full time operating. If our first few weeks open are an indication of what is to come, we have a lot to look forward to.

This photo was taken of me and our Mixologist Stacey Breining from our very first Happy Hour, which the Mayor of Hawai'i attended. Thanks for reading this update.

Key lesson: The opening happened on schedule thanks to investor support.

Summary: Fundraising update: $1.35M of $1.65M raised; a few hundred thousand to go.
