A couple of keys to happiness are:
1) Something to do
2) Something to look forward to
3) Somone to love
On the #2 front (that came out wrong 🙈) I am very excited for the next month. Since the first question I always get asked by friends and family when they call or I call them is “where are you?”, I’m gonna lay it out for you all.
Tomorrow I fly to Burbank, CA to meet with the CEO of a company called Pronto (https://protohologram.com) on Thursday morning. They have created a hologram device I want to check out. My interest lies in being able to beam speakers and coaches in live to my resort in Hawaii from anywhere in the world.
The Inspired member Molly Lavik works for the company and set up the meeting. So I am excited to see her and her experience her company’s cutting-edge technology.
After the meeting, Lori and I get picked up by our dear friend Heather Dee Frankovich to drive to San Diego to see our partner in bliss, and my best friend Patrick Combs, perform his one person show “Trying To Break A Leg”!
Around twenty-five Bliss Champion alums are making the trip from places as far away as Panama, Minnesota and yes, Hawaii. This is sure to make the pre and post show parties a blast, cause there is so much love and appreciation between our extended bliss family, but I think the thing we are all looking forward to the most is seeing Patrick’s fruition come to life.
Our Bliss family knows an epic bliss journey when we see one unfolding, and will rally to come out and support no matter where we are in the world. No pressure buddy, but I’m ready for some goosebump moments seeing you on stage!
Then we are off to Jacksonhole to help my mentee Mike Whitlatch find his real estate dream so he can expand his motorcycle rental & tour business. Yes, we brought our warm clothes, or at least what we could strum up from our Hawaii clothes rack!
After three days in Jacksonhole, it’s off to Miami to search for a new place to live. We will rent a furnished hi-rise for six months until we figure out where we want to reside there before purchasing. Lori and I are super excited to experience the vibrancy that Miami has to offer. Rumor has it there are one or two superb restaurants there 🤣!
This does not mean we are done with Hawaii. In fact, the opposite is true as we continue to manage both of our properties there as businesses. We’ve actually been living half the year in both Hawaii and Florida for the last three plus years. We are just trading Destin, Florida for Miami as our new primary residence.
After we find a place and sign a lease, we head back to our beach house in Destin to pack up for the move. Before we make the trip South though, we will go to Tennessee to celebrate Christmas with my sister Sue McDonald’s side of our family. Can’t wait to stay in my nephew Cory McDonald’s newly constructed home and hang with our newly minted Tennessee crew!
I couldn’t be more excited for each of these individual adventures and the entire month overall. It will require living out of a suitcase, monitoring our health, and a whole lotta flights, but we are up for the cause!
With any luck we will be moved in and settled in Miami by NYE!
