Not all ideas are good ideas!

Day 14 of My 21 Day Reset

Turned out my body didn’t care much for my 21 Day Reset plan and it rejected it. Not all ideas are good ideas!

It took three full days of rest to recalibrate. I am convinced that the combination of over-training and a calorie deficit for eleven straight days was the culprit. My body was not a fan! Only my Abs were! 🤣

The good news is that I am fully repaired and ready for action. However, I tried to learn from my mistakes, so I will not be continuing the same strategies. I will be bringing back my second meal around 5 PM to stabilize my calorie intake and make sure my body is getting what it needs with this much training. I will also drop back down to training my normal five days.

The one thing I am gonna keep up though is the daily ab workouts in the evening because that’s really made a difference. Unfortunately, my knees aren’t ready for the added cardio of running and walking a uphill so I’m gonna eliminate that as well gor now. My VO2 max improvement efforts will have to find a new activity that is not so hard on my knees. I may try out rowing.

Anyhow, that’s my update after a very relaxing weekend. I’m good to go!

P.S. - all that time off did give me a chance to get my hair did! 🤣

Key lesson: Eating 1,000 calories while doing extreme cardio is self-sabotage, not discipline.

Summary: Reset Day 14: his coach caught overtraining and calorie restriction; not all ideas are good.
