Day 20 of My 22 Day Adventure in Italy
Today Matteo wanted to show me the city of Genoa, where he lived in his twenties. It’s about a 45-minute drive from Chiavari.
Genoa is a large city with many beautiful buildings. More than 1/3rd of the total population of the Liguria region reside there with just over 560,000 residents. I enjoyed seeing it. I think it will be a good backup excursion if we ever encounter rain during one of our retreats because there are a lot of great indoor spaces.
On the way home, we pulled over for a swim in the ocean at a beautiful seaside location right behind Portofino. We rented two chairs for €20 and enjoy the afternoon under an umbrella and taking many swims. Probably one of my favorite experiences of the three weeks.
