Day 8 of a 22 Day Adventure in Italy
All of our invited guests have officially arrived. Yesterday, Val and I caught a ride back to Milan to greet 16 guests flying in from the United States. Seven couples plus two lifelong buddies!
Who are our guests? They are all investors in our new Culinary Oasis Fund I. They will be the first group to experience our newest property - Villa Riviera Resort. Many more of these trips to come!
Before embarking on our grand adventure on the Italian Riviera, we wanted everyone to have a chance to acclimate from their travel from the U.S. We lined up rooms at the elegant Chateau Monfort in central Milan. It is a boutique luxury hotel from the Ralais & Chateau collection.
Valerie and I hosted a welcome Happy Hour last night at the lobby bar. We then led the group out for an authentic Italian dinning experience - gourmet pizza!
After dinner, I offered anyone who had the energy to join me in a nightcap. I took them to a hidden rooftop bar overlooking the Duomo for a round of drinks. It was a uniquely memorable setting. I had everyone back to the hotel for a good night sleep by 11 pm.
Overall, it was a great start to our trip. Nothing over the top - so everyone could feel well rested for our journey tomorrow. After a special 4-course Italian lunch experience, we all will be driven on a air-conditioned luxury Mercedes bus to the Resort.
