I’ve admitted here in this group, many times in fact, that I put my dreams ahead of my health for decades.
I have yet to meet anyone who isn’t happy that I have made an adjustment. My health definitely comes first now.
However, the mistake I made all those years wasn’t my fierce commitment to my dreams, it was that I could have prioritzed both and I chose not to. To pretend that I did not benefit from putting my dreams first would be un-authentic.
But, what if a person has the reverse problem? Meaning - they are super healthy but lack real commitment to their dreams. Or, if they put something else as their priority - like love, career or maybe even parenting?
Personal development always starts with self awareness. The ability to look into the mirror and ask yourself tough questions is how to begin.
My question became - “Why can’t you do both?”
