Who wants to get healthier this year?
Forget New Year’s resolutions. May 13th is every bit as good a day as January 1st to make a commitment to yourself. Most people wait for the “perfect time” to begin. There isn’t one. There is only the decision to start.
Over the last year and a half, Lori and I have lost a combined 120 pounds. If we could do it, so can you and someone you love.
People endlessly debate diets, supplements, workout plans, macros, cold plunges, and all the latest trends. But after all the noise, the thing that matters most is consistency. Not perfection. Not intensity for two weeks. Consistency.
I was obese for decades because I simply did not prioritize my health consistently. Business came first. Stress came first. Convenience came first. I look back at photos of that version of me now and barely recognize the guy.
This post is not offering easy answers or miracle shortcuts. I have none. But I can offer this encouragement: giving yourself better health may be the greatest gift you ever give yourself and the people who love you.
You do not need to become a different person overnight. You just need to start becoming slightly better, consistently. One walk. One workout. One better meal. One better choice at a time.
A year from now, you may barely recognize yourself too.
