It’s official… I’m a Chef. 🇫🇷👨🍳
Today, while my classmates are walking across the stage in Paris, I’m somewhere over the Atlantic, literally between worlds, grinning like a kid who just pulled off the impossible.
I may have missed the graduation ceremony (it’s happening as I write this), but make no mistake… I graduated.
Diploma in hand (technically Lori’s hand). Mission accomplished!
Lori just sent me this photo of my certificate, along with images of a few of my favorite classmates receiving theirs. Seeing their faces filled me with pride, gratitude, and a deep sense of we did it. What a journey. What a standard. What a group of humans.
So here I am, raising an actual glass from 35,000 feet, toasting my classmates from the sky. 🥂
I say to each- You earned this! Every long day. Every burn. Every finger stab. Every doubt conquered.
I wish I could be there celebrating with you, but know this: I’m celebrating you from above, with a full heart and a chef’s jacket now earned, not borrowed.
À bientôt, chefs.
And yes… this still feels a little surreal. ✨
