Behold, my two latest creations, proof that miracles do happen in Paris.

Day 13 of 60 | Bonjour, Paris! 🇫🇷🥖✨

Today’s we created two dishes, a sassy vegetable medley and a pasta that would make any Italian nonna shed a single proud tear. 🤣

Cooking from scratch hits different when your teacher casually whips up perfection in front of you and then says, “Your turn!” like it’s no big deal. Suddenly, you’re standing at your station, trying to remember if the olive oil went before or after the butter, while your inner monologue screams, “Is this what Gordon Ramsay feels like before yelling at people?”

Everyone’s got their own coping mechanisms: some are filming like it’s a Netflix special, others are taking notes like court reporters. Me? I just watch, listen, and pray to the gods of butter and salt. 🧈🙏 It’s working so far, mostly.

Teamwork has become my secret sauce. Two brains are better than one, especially when one of them actually remembers what Chef said. Out of 14 students, only two speak French, so they’ve basically become our culinary lifelines when Chef switches languages mid-sentence.

Every class starts with mild panic and ends with pure joy because by the time we all take the first bite of something each of us actually made from scratch, we are all like, “Wait… did I just become a French chef?” 👩🏽‍🍳✨
