Timeless
If you have never bathed another human, it is a tender act of love that brings peace.

My day started with the beautiful sunrise I shared earlier. My next opportunity for presence was bathing my 91 year old father, whom I love very much.

It’s not easy growing old. Things you took for granted for decades, like taking a shower by yourself, become a thing of the past. I’m sure it’s very confusing and humbling.

My Dad is super tough though. He never complains and rolls with life. I can only imagine the stiffness in his joints and the soreness in his back, legs and feet. He never mentions any such ailments. I get soreness in my back for five minutes, and I’m immediately off to see a chiropractor, while I call my wife to tell her all about it. 🤣

If you have never bathed another human, it is a tender act of love that brings peace.

I’m glad to do it cause I’m super grateful to still have my parents.

I enjoyed hosting them for Christmas at our home in Florida. My only goal for them both is more quality time with grace.

Key lesson: Caring for an aging parent is a tender act of love that brings peace.

Summary: He bathes his 91-year-old father and reflects on aging, humility, and tender love.
