Goosebump Moment of the Year Part 2: I’ve been mentoring, coaching, leading, inspiring and investing in Dreamers for a minute. Twenty-five years worth of minutes to be precise.
About a year ago, a former customer, colleague and current friend posted on FB that she was raising capital to finance a movie she would write, act in and produce. She had the courage to throw her needs out to the Universe!
To be perfectly forthcoming, barely a week goes by that I am not asked to make an investment of some kind. As a standard, I don’t actually make investments from solicitations. I prefer to make unsolicited investments.
Why? Cause this allows my heart to make the decisions instead of relying on some fancy pitch deck presentation. I don’t bet on 3rd party business ideas. As active entrepreneurs, my wife and I have plenty of our own ideas to invest in. Instead, I bet on people and their bliss journeys. You could say I’m an Attribute Investor in Bliss. I decided to make an unsolicited investment in my friend and former colleague and customer, from her FB post, no further information needed.
How did I do on my R.O.I?
The goosebumps started when she nervously got up to give a pre-screening speech. They continued to an epic level as I watched her amazing craft on display in her film. Then, they got golfball-sized when she stood up after. This is when it happened. The moment I always hope to see from every investment. The moment when the investee realizes that they are good enough, they are loved and they can accomplish absolutely anything!
