Today is the 2nd Anniversary of Bliss Island. I am very proud of what we have accomplished in just two years.
Here are the numbers: We have hosted a total of twenty four retreats. Twenty-one here at this property and one each on the road in Austin, Cabo and Destin. We have nine more booked between now and year end. We gainfully employ six wonderful locals in jobs they cherish. We have made a significant positive financial impact on multiple local vender businesses. We have taken great care of the property and have greatly improved it. The property has appreciated 100% since it’s purchase, making it a huge financial success already.
But here is the soul: We have hosted 223 people. Each guest was treated with loving care and support. They were all fed incredibly well, witnessed astounding beauty each day, created memorable moments and made new life-long friends. They were inspired to identify what would make them feel more alive and encouraged to begin living the lives they truly desire. They were taught soft skills to implement when they returned home, arming them for success. They reached a euphoric state of goosebump moments of joy and happiness.
Here is the evidence, I always take at least one group photo of every retreat. Does everyone look joyful? I think of these photos as trophies, not because of the revenue they brought in, but the memories of shared goosebump moments, joy, hugs and transformational victories.
