Getting rid of the inflammation that wrapped around my organs has been the really big win.

I’m pretty stoked this morning. I pushed through another milestone on the way to losing five pounds a month for a total of sixty pounds this year. At weigh in this morning, I slid past 25 pounds lost this year. I’m on a perfect pace to reach my ultimate goal. All this despite getting injured end of January (taking out most workouts using my legs) and running six retreats in eight weeks with sunset happy hour and formal meals to contend with every night. Add on ten flights in less than two weeks and I had plenty of reasons to fall off.

Kudos to my amazing trainer Christopher J. Kidawski (non-social media guy) and his scientific approach to healing and sealing the gut. I’m even more excited about the toning going on in my stomach region than the weight loss. Getting rid of the inflammation that wrapped around my organs has been the really big win. I feel better. I move better. I like the way I look in the mirror better. Good stuff.

How are you doing on your fitness or health goals this year? It’s almost summer!

Key lesson: A sound strategy survives injuries and travel; reducing organ inflammation is the real win.

Summary: Passed 25 pounds lost this year, perfectly on pace for 60, despite injury and travel.
