I bet you all didn’t know that I’m the youngest of five! To make things even more interesting, so is Lori. My sister Sue McDonald came first. Today I honor her. It’s not her birthday or anything. I just saw this photo on a friends post and it inspired me to introduce her to you all. Sue and I have grown very close in the last few years. I cherish this fact and feel like sharing.
What has brought us so close together. Three things. Number one is care for our parents. We have teamed up in a beautiful day to provide love and support as our parents take on their 90’s (Mom is not there just yet). Sue provides the daily support and I swoop in for a wonderful vacation every three months. Knowing that a great trip is always right around the corner does wonders for them both. Just between you and me, it also often provides a well deserved reward for Sue too!!! We make a great team.
Number two is she has become very close to my wife. Sue had four brothers so finally having a sister has been a treasure for her and Lori loves it just as much.
Finally, number three - travel. My sister caught the bug late in life but now that she’s experienced the beauty and adventure that this world has to offer, she’s become a passport stamping machine. We have taken many trips together and she’s taken many more with her best friend Janice, her hubby Joe Mcdonald, our wonderful Aunt Gigi Watson Spinazze
and her kids. It always makes me happy to know she’s traveling. It brings me joy knowing she is living her best life.
I love my sister. She’s reliable, loyal, fun and a joy to have as a big sister. She deserves the world and at her pace, she just might see it all.
