Only this time, with a keen eye on making it last.

I am very excited to begin a new tradition at Bliss Island tomorrow. We will be hosting our very first Health & Wellness Retreat.

Since my days as a Division I Basketball player in college, I have struggled with my weight. A diabetes diagnosis five years ago scared me enough to finally take my health seriously. In just four months, I lost 75 pounds and kept it off for three and a half years. Unfortunately, during Covid I gained 50 of the lost pounds back.

Coming into 2022, I set an intention to turn the tide and dedicate significant time and energy to my health and fitness. Only this time, with a keen eye on making it last.

I reached out to an old business partner of mine, health & fitness guru Dr. Anthony Balduzzi of www.fitfatherproject.com acclaim. I asked him to recommend a cutting-edge up and coming expert in health & wellness who focused on healing and sealing the gut. He quickly recommended Christopher J. Kidawski.

Chris and I got to talking and I loved his unique take on healing the gut and reducing inflammation around the organs. One thing led to another and I invited him to partner up with me to produce wellness retreats at my property in Hawaii.

Tomorrow, we begin this journey with ten participants. Super excited! I will write up some notes and share some of what I learn each day.

Key lesson: To make a health change last, pair intention with expert guidance and a supportive environment.

Summary: Launching a new tradition: the first Health & Wellness Retreat at Bliss Island with Christopher J. Kidawski.
