Today I begin hosting and participating in my first retreat at my new Bliss Villa property in Destin, Florida. The group I am hosting is my Entrepreneur Organization Forum. Everyone flew out from California yesterday to gather for our annual retreat.
I have been a member of EO for about four years. It is a global organization of entrepreneurs with about 15,000 members. To qualify you have to own a business doing at least $1 mm in annual revenue, must apply and be approved by other members and asked to join.
The organization is broken down into regional chapters and local forums. Forums are typically eight people while chapters can be in the hundreds. I’m a member of the Silicon Valley chapter (even though I now live elsewhere). We meet monthly to support each other.
Our group has been through thick and thin together. From new marriages to heartbreaking divorces, to challenges & blessings with friends and family members, to traumatic deaths of loved ones, to managing our businesses through COVID, to incredible exits of our companies, to other other massive wins and brutal losses. Safe to say, a lot happens in the life of eight hard charging entrepreneurs from year to year.
It’s worthwhile to have a group of like minded individuals you can share your life with and lean on for support as you through the best and worst of what happens in your career and personal life. We invited the incredible Heather Dee Frankovich to be a speaker and facilitator for the retreat. Heather is an expert at helping entrepreneurs source joy. We are in good hands with her.
I look forward to getting caught up with my group and going on an adventure of authenticity, inspiration and transformation. I love to grow and this is a fantastic opportunity to do just that.
