One more day in our beautiful new beach home in Florida and then back to Hawaii to run my last retreat of this year. Lori and I are making a 24 hour stop over in Santa Cruz, CA for Thanksgiving with my family. I am very fortunate to still have my parents in good health at ages 87 and 90 so a few long flights don’t bother me one bit. I hope you all arrive at your Turkey Day destinations smoothly. Here is an inspired suggestion for the Holiday.
Invite a loved one to go for a long one-on-one walk over the coming weekend. Bring up a subject of discussion that will be super meaningful and memorable to you both. Engage in dialog that truly matters and brings you even closer. Aim high, making it a highlight of your long family weekend. And at the end of the walk, stop, look your loved one in the eye and tell them how grateful you are for them. Treat this like it may be the last time you will get the chance. Really tell them how much you appreciate them.
If we are to be The Inspired we must challenge each other from time to time to take inspired actions. After your walk this weekend, if you feel like sharing, please write about your experience here sowe can all get to know you better through your inspired action. It will be fun to hear about the loved one you choose and how you view them through your eyes.
